Preparation, utilization, and sorting accuracy requirements for recycled autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC)

Abstract

This topic has been submitted as a request for the development of a DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure. The application is currently being examined. DIN SPECs are developed within workshops set up on a temporary basis. This document will be developed and approved by the authors who will approve the business plan. This document specifies requirements for the quality of recycled autoclaved aerated concrete (old aerated concrete) from building demolition and dismantling to be used in the production of new aerated concrete. This document defines quality classes for secondary aerated concrete according to the type and quantity of accompanying materials. Requirements for acceptance conditions and quality tests such as sampling and analysis methods are defined. This document provides information for the cooperation of institutions and companies involved in the recycling process (e.g. planners, architects, recycling companies, building material manufacturers, landfill operators, construction companies, authorities) in order to facilitate and simplify the value creation process. This document is applicable to all aerated concrete products in accordance with DIN EN 771-4, DIN 20000-404, DIN 4166 and all aerated concrete products regulated by approval.
