Dear All,
All experts in the field of theatrical pyrotechnic articles are cordially invited to actively participate with their expertise in the standardisation committee CEN/TC 212/WG 3 “Theatrical pyrotechnic articles, category T1 and T2”. The WG 3 is responsible for the revision of EN 16256 "Theatrical pyrotechnic articles". In addition, it would be great if among these experts someone would take up the open positions of both Convenor and Project Leader(s).

About EN 16256

The standard defines the requirements for safety, quality, and performance of pyrotechnic articles for use on indoor and outdoor stages, including film and television productions.
The standard is under revision in the framework of the Standardisation Request M/583.

Scope of the working group

The following topics will be discussed in the Working Group by the experts and convenor:requirements for the design and function of pyrotechnic articles, forbidden substances, safety distances, labelling of pyrotechnic articles.
The revision shall be finished in May 2027. To facilitate the work interested experts can apply for the open positions of Project Leaders or Convenor (see attachments below).
