Torrent control; terms, planning and construction
Abstract
This standard can be used for the development of torrents, the restoration of solid material sources (slumps, wound slopes) and for maintenance and care measures. It specifies the building materials and construction methods in accordance with DIN 19657 that are suitable for torrents, landslides and wound slopes, taking into account the special conditions. DIN 18918 is applicable for landscaping measures. The standard does not provide any information on dams for the purpose of water utilization.
