Strength grading of wood - Part 5: Sawn hard wood
Abstract
This document is applicable to sawn hard wood for load-bearing components. This document specifies grading characteristics and classes as a prerequisite for the determination and application of calculation values for design according to e.g. DIN EN 1995-1-1. Two methods can be used for grading: - visually (according to clause 6); - visually with instrumental support (according to clause 7). This document fulfills the minimum requirements of DIN EN 14081-1.
