Abstract
This International Standard specifies the requirements for electrical insulating materials made of mica paper with polyester film and with an epoxy resin binder for single conductor bonding. The material is supplied in a flexible state with the resin in the B-state for final curing after application. It is supplied in roll form. This standard applies only to tapes with a single-sided film backing; combinations with double-sided film covers are also available. This standard applies to materials with a nominal thickness of 0.07 mm to 0.12 mm. Materials that comply with this standard meet recognized requirement levels. However, the selection of a material by a user for a particular application should be based on the actual requirements for adequate performance in that application and not on this standard alone.
