Artificial intelligence – Reference data sets – General requirements for test data sets

Abstract

This topic has been submitted as a request for the development of a DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure. DIN SPECs are developed within DIN-SPEC-consortiums set up on a temporary basis. In the attached business plan you will find detailed information on the planned project as well as concrete time limits for commenting on the business plan (four-week commentary period) and for registering for the kick-off. This document will be developed and approved by the authors named in the business plan. This document specifies general requirements for the definition and creation of reference data sets for use as test data sets for the validation and systematic testing of the functionality of AI applications. This document is intended for use by reference data set developers, as well as developers, manufacturers and testers of AI applications. This document does not apply to reference data sets for testing AI systems that can have an impact on the safety and health of employees at work.
