Distributed AI/process interface for self-optimizing process machines

Abstract

This topic has been submitted as a request for the development of a DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure. The application is currently being examined. DIN SPECs in accordance with the PAS procedure are developed within workshops set up on a temporary basis. This document will be developed and approved by the authors who will approve the business plan. The DIN SPEC is intended to specify requirements for a uniform data interface of AI-supported process machines and sensor nodes. This includes a guideline for determining relevant and suitable state variables for any process machine as well as determining generic message types and formats for established industry interfaces (OPC-UA, MQTT, LoRaWAN, MIOTY, etc) to ensure that optimization is feasible.
