Abstract
This document gives guidance on the application and general design of measurement systems for monitoring relevant structures. It establishes general principles for the structure and task description as well as for the description of the system components. This document is applicable to technical installations and constructions in which either the technical functionality is to be ensured or improved, or an economic benefit is to be achieved.
