Masonry - Part 4: Prefabricated masonry compound units
Abstract
This document applies to prefabricated masonry components that are mainly storey-high and of room-width (including parapets and gables) and the buildings constructed using such components. It includes structural details, information on the stability analysis required for each prefabricated component and for the structure, taking into account transport and erection. For the design of unreinforced masonry made of masonry panels, the specifications of DIN EN 1996 (all parts) and the associated National Annexes generally apply. This document specifies supplementary regulations for prefabricated components that are not regulated there.
