Buried cast iron pipe networks and their components for the transport and preconditioning of outside air for use inside buildings - Characteristics and test methods
Abstract
This document specifies product characteristics, assessment methods and how to express assessed results of Earth-to-air heat exchanger systems, also called earth-to-air heat exchangers, are made up of cast iron pipes, fittings, joints and accessories. They are designed for use in residential buildings, both individual and collective, and in non-residential buildings (establishments open to the public, tertiary sector premises, technical premises, industrial or agricultural buildings, infrastructures) for new constructions or renovations. The nominal diameters of the cast iron pipes usually used for this application are 150, 200, 300 and 500mm. Cast iron includes lamellar graphite cast iron and ductile cast iron.
