Flanged steel pipes and flanged steel fittings with hard or soft rubber lining - Technical specifications
Abstract
This standard is applicable to the supply of flanged pipes and flanged fittings to DIN 2848 made of steel with a lining of vulcanizates based on natural or synthetic rubber (hereinafter referred to as rubber lining). It includes the execution of rubber linings in the workshop and on construction sites. For components that are not listed in DIN 2848, this standard can be applied mutatis mutandis. When used within the scope of the Pressure Equipment Directive (Directive 2014/68/EU), these fittings are to be regarded as a component of the pressure equipment. The area of application of the fittings is within the area of application of the pressure equipment.
