Energy efficiency of buildings - Calculation of the net, final and primary energy demand for heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic hot water and lighting - Part 8: Net and final energy demand of domestic hot water systems
Abstract
TDIN/TS 18599-8 provides a method for calculating the domestic hot water system for buildings. This document describes the energy requirements of the domestic hot water system with its various process areas (transfer, distribution, storage and generation). The heat losses and auxiliary energy consumption of the individual process areas are determined and made available for further calculation in DIN/TS 18599-1 and DIN/TS 18599-2, insofar as they are located in the heated zone. Reference is made to the possible influence of heat generation (see DIN/TS 18599-5). Other systems, e.g. domestic ventilation (see DIN/TS 18599-6), which have a demand for or supply to certain process areas, can be taken into account and calculated accordingly. Coupling is carried out in each case via DIN/TS 18599-1. The differentiated calculation of several zones of buildings with several balance units is possible. The energy demand values determined using this method are not suitable for dimensioning individual components. If there are systems that are not shown in this document, their evaluation may be carried out according to other physically based algorithms using this document mutatis mutandis.
