Abstract
This document defines the verification procedure for determining the monthly and annual final energy demand for lighting purposes in non-residential buildings. The procedure includes the zoning of the building required for lighting, the determination of the specific electrical rating of the artificial lighting system, the consideration of daylight utilisation and the influence of presence detection systems. Energy-efficient lighting requires the use of suitable lighting systems, control and regulation equipment and the utilisation of available daylight. The procedure described only covers the lighting systems required to fulfil the minimum lighting requirements.
