Overview
This International Standard provides guidance for system tests for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems consisting of a source terminal and a receiver terminal, each connected to an alternating current (AC) system. Its purpose is to provide potential users with guidance on planning commissioning activities. The tests described in this standard represent a selection of potentially applicable tests, although not all of them are feasible for all projects. Amendment A1 is an editorial revision of the entire standard, thus contributing to clarity in its application. The responsible committee is DKE/K 331 "Leistungselektronik" ("Power electronics") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
