Overview

The DIN EN 62453 series of standards provides a set of requirements for interfaces for developers of FDT (Field Device Tool) components to support control and data access within a client/server architecture. It enables the development of servers and clients from different manufacturers, thus supporting open interactions. This standard specifies the general objects, general object behavior and general object interactions that provide the base of FDT. The responsible committee is DKE/K 956 "Feldbus" ("Fieldbus") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
