Medical locations - Part 710-1: Requirements of the expected HD 60364-7-710
Abstract
The particular requirements of this part of DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100) (series) apply to electrical installations in medical locations so as to ensure safety of patients and medical staff. These requirements, in the main, refer to hospitals and clinics or equivalent institutions (including equivalent transportable and mobile locations). Subject to assessment the requirements may also include also other areas of application, such as sanatoriums and health clinics, medical and dental practices, other locations where medical electrical equipment is used, etc. (list is not exhaustive).
