Electric vehicle conductive charging system - Part X: AC Vehicle-to-Load Adapter and Interface to the electric vehicle
Abstract
This document provides safety and interoperability requirements for vehicle-to-load adapters. Electric vehicles with a vehicle-to-load function are a CO2 free alternative to petrol- or diesel-powered generators to provide electric power in situations where no grid is available. The electric vehicle, if V2L function is available, can supply AC power through its vehicle inlet according to IEC 62196-2 with a V2L adapter using one or more household or industrial socket-outlets to loads. A technical specification is required to ensure interoperability and safety when using a vehicle-to-load adapter. As a part of the IEC 61851 series, this document will further improve the standard system.
