Abstract
This part of IEC 60794 defines test procedures to be used in establishing uniform requirements for the environmental performance of optical cable. The tests determine the ability of optical cables to prevent water migration along a specified length. In this document, it is assumed that water may migrate through sheath damage, or from cable end in such a case of that water migrate into closure.
